The pomegranate cider scent of this candle pays homage the story of Persephone both literally and symbolically. It is the fruit that Hades had her eat to ensure she would always return to him. It is also a fruit associated with fall and winter, when Persephone would be recalled to the Underworld. Far from dark and depressing, there is a brightness to the scent that gives it year-round appeal and speaks to Persephone's other badass title of Goddess of Spring. The sprinkling of asphodel, flower of the Underworld, represents life in death, and the flower agate helps with grounding, hopefulness, and blossoming into your full potential - just like Persephone.
